Does it make me spoiled to say the first Lexus I reviewed as an RC F Coupe? Maybe, but that doesn’t take away from how awesome it was to drive. That was, though, all the way back in 2015. I haven’t driven one since because nothing too drastic has been updated or changed on the car. That is until I was offered the 2021 RC F Fuji Speedway Edition.

This RC F is equipped with a 5.0 L V8 engine producing 472 HP and 395 lb-ft of torque mated to an 8-speed Sport Direct-Shift transmission powering the rear wheels.

I definitely had more fun with this RC F than the first. We took the car on a long drive to Las Vegas and back for the Valentine’s Day weekend. Considering the car is capable of making a lot of noise when you press the go peddle, it provides such a smooth and quiet ride on the highway. Like with any Lexus, the ride long distance is very comfortable. But once you decide to go fast, this thing is ready and willing like you wouldn’t believe. It sounds incredible and just cruises as 90 MPH like it’s 65 MPH.

Something that makes the coupe so fun is how much it likes to slide. All it takes is turning off the nannies and then a punch of the gas and you’re sliding. Or just a little less brake into a corner and you’re making this beast move in such a fun way. One of my favorite parts of this car was how eager it was to provide a good time.

Of course, we can’t talk about this car without talking about the unique styling. The rear wing is something else. I think it really sets the car apart from a standard RC F and provides some much-needed downforce and stability when attacking the track. The wheels add even more aggression to the profile and the carbon fiber hood alludes to a serious track machine. This model comes in two colors; Artic Blast Satin or Cloudburst Grey.

Inside is such a gorgeous cabin that features red leather and some unique red carbon fiber accents. While the interior is uniquely Lexus, the color and carbon fiber remind you it’s also a sports car.

I had the privilege to drive this super rare RC F, with only 60 units produced, this is one I won’t soon forget.
