The parties of Monterey Car Week always seem to showcase something spectacular. Whether it be the reveal of a new car, or just an excuse to get together for some great food and fun.
Lexus held a special reception where the LF-LC concept greeted guests out front and the soon to be production versions waited in back. As I’ve come to expect, Lexus always throws a great party surrounded by some of the most spectacular views and always-good food.
The centerpieces of the reception were the new LC 500 and LC 500h slated to go into production sometime next year as a 2018 model year car. Here are some specs on the 500 and 500h:
LC 500
Naturally aspirated 5.0 L V8 engine
10-speed Sport Direct Shift Transmission with Magnesium Paddle Shifter
467 HP (projected)
0-60 under 4.5 seconds (projected)
LC 500h
3.5 L engine with Lexus Hybrid Drive
Multistage Transmission with Magnesium Paddle Shifters
345 total HP (projected)
0-60 under 5 seconds (projected)
I’m certainly looking forward to seeing the LC 500 and LC 500h go into production and possibly even getting some seat time.
